I am Madi Wilson or you may know me as @itsfitmadiwilson online. My fitness journey has been a wild ride with a lot of ups and lots of downs. For the last 3 years, I’ve been sharing the good, bad and ugly side of losing 100lbs, living with PCOS, staying in recovery for eating disorders but mostly, how I try to stay healthy and happy.
My fitness journey started when I was at the lowest part of my life. I hated everything about my body and I thought if I just worked out really hard that all my problems would go away (doesn’t work like that). I used exercise as a punishment. I would force myself to do workouts that I hated because I thought it would make me happier in the long run (wrong again).
Once I started moving my body in ways I enjoyed, that’s when my life changed. I only do workouts that are FUN to me and that I enjoy because I finally love myself. I workout because I finally care about myself. It is such an amazing feeling.
I’m sure you can guess what one of my favorite ways to workout. Bands. In january 2019 Gladiator Gym Gear bands reached out to me to try out the fabric resistance bands and I fell in love. Over the last 2 years I’ve loved each workout I've done with them. They don’t fall down when i am working out, they are so strong, and just so versatile. If you are a beginner, bands are perfect for you. If you have been weight lifting for 20 years, bands are perfect for you.
Bands helped me fall in love with moving my body and I hope they do the same for you.
Working out is not a punishment.
